The Best Food at the LA County Fair

This week I was invited to preview the fair food that will be debuting this weekend at the LA County Fair. Never being one to turn down some free grub (especially if it’s fried!) I got a sitter, grabbed the hubby and headed down to the Pomona fairgrounds.

We started with Tasti Chips and the name is well deserved! I am normally not a chip fan but these are no ordinary chips. They come with different toppings but we adored the sweet meat with fresh tomoatoes, green onion, blue cheese and some kind of sauce that is to die for!

Another favorite was the 10 Pound Bun. Available in an array of flavors we tried the BBQ Chicken, Ultimate and the Bacon Nutella. They are all under $8 for a HUGE slice, which by fair food prices is quite low. When I return to the fair this month this will definitely top my “must eat” list.

  1. Since we moved from the LA area to Georgia, we have found that these kinds of tasty offerings assault you year ’round from restaurant menus! Now we are preparing to attend the Gwinett County Fair and wondering how they will top our area eateries’ standard offerings!!
