Whoever runs Keurigs’ marketing campaign is SMART! On October 14th 15,000 households found a big box on their doorstep and became the proud owners of a brand new Keurig Special Edition brewing system. No strings attached. No catches. Just the gift of good coffee. I was one of those lucky people. What was so smart about this campaign was the use of a single hashtag within the letter to these recipients, #brewthelove. Keurig knew people would be talking about this on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media outlets. The day these brewers arrived my newsfeeds were inundated with photos of brewers and joyful words of thanks. A recent article from South Florida Food and Wine summed up the campaign well:
“This campaign was quite an investment as well as a gamble on behalf of Keurig. #BrewTheLove will make quite a case study, as I’m sure there are people watching and monitoring every tweet, pic, post and sip. This campaign was more than giving away and getting something for free, it was a bold and daring strategy for a little company out of Reading, Massachusetts, one I certainly hope pays off for the company.”
I hope it pays off too as I am already loving my new brewer!
In an effort to share the love Keurig gifted me with 20 coupons for 50% off a brewer. I am posting the coupon codes below. It will be first come first serve. Once you use a code please leave a comment with the number of the code you’ve used so we all know it’s been taken.
